Jason Cruz and Howl shine like a lonely headlight through the shadow of the valley of death and rock and roll.

Fronted by seasoned punk veteran and artist Jason Cruz {of the seminal punk outfit Strung Out}, Howl is a shady departure from ‘punk guy gone acoustic’. Rooted in Americana and dark psychedelic romance, Howl flickers and sways like late night television noir, high on mescalin and American promises. Straying from punk expectations JCH creates an almost cinematic tone with its songs. Painting with words and melodies , swagger and melancholy, these American stories and lies drift through the air like cigarette smoke and old country radio.

Formed in 2013 Howl released its first ep ‘Loungecore’. Mixed by Cameron Webb and released under Echotone records. With an almost spooky sound the ep featured the singles ‘Blue Jesus’ and ‘When They finally get me’. It was soon followed by their first full length album ‘Good Mans Ruin’ 2014.

Produced by Buddy Darling the band took a slightly more straight forward approach with ‘Good MansRuin’. With hints of lonely country songs and Mexican bad lands the band was growing and shaping its sound. Sometimes romantic other times dark and drug induced.

With the release of their new album ‘Wolves’, JCH has teamed with Regime Music group to bring amoodier, smoother flavor to the mix . Combining dark beats and textures with stories of coyotes andHollywood graves howl once again digs itself a beautiful hole to bury itself in for the evening .

With Cruz at the helm, Howl is backed by rhythm section Kris Comeaux on drums [Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Darlings] and Jason Nielson on bass [Above the Noise]. On Lead guitar is Chad Kulengosly [Iam Ghost, Above the Noise].
